Storytelling Festival

I went to Bill Harley and Bill Lepp's performance on Saturday night at the Totah Festival. Both Bills were amazing performers. I enjoyed how Bill Harley incorporated music into his stories and had the audience join him in a rendition of "Build Me Up Buttercup", everyone in the audience participated was so engaged in his performance. I have read Bill Harley's childrens books and heard his cds so I was already a little bit familiar with him.

I enjoyed Bill Lepp's performance the most. Bill Lepp is a professional liar, which means he is a storyteller who exaggerates and makes things up in his stories. He was just so funny! I related to him also because my mom's family is from West Virginia and so is he, so that provided me with a little extra insight into some of his stories.

I am so glad we were required to attend the Storytelling Festival, because it is not something I would have done otherwise. I had such a great time and was really impressed with the quality of the performers. I know I will continue to attend the Storytelling Festival in years to come, just for the enjoyment of it :)
